Problem
Family information is often scattered: chat threads, notes on the fridge, multiple calendars, forgotten purchases. Day to day, a reliable shared overview is missing.
A small box in your home network, a shared tablet wall board, and a separate mobile app per family member: appointments and shopping where you need them, without mandatory cloud.
Family information is often scattered: chat threads, notes on the fridge, multiple calendars, forgotten purchases. Day to day, a reliable shared overview is missing.
AK Homebox runs locally on our hardware in your home network. On a tablet, you simply open
homebox.local
(or scan the device QR code) for the shared wall board. In addition, each family member uses a separate mobile PWA on the phone for appointments and shopping.
From the real app: focused, practical, offline-capable.
Main view with time, weather, holidays/school breaks, appointments, notices, and a shopping preview—ideal for wall tablets.
Fast entry, check-offs, duplicates, and quick words. Offline changes are queued and synced when the network returns.
Family notes with or without an expiration date. Offline-first: changes work even without a connection.
Overview of break periods and school status (weekend/holiday/break/override) for clear day planning.
Dedicated pages per family member for managing appointments and shopping overview.
Separate phone UI with PIN login. Live at home for appointments and shopping, on the go with cache and queued shopping actions that sync later.
Setup wizard for initial configuration plus backup and restore in the UI. Runs locally on the included hardware in your home network.
Built for families—not for project management.
One screen, one overview. No app hunting, no context switching.
Shared wall board at home plus a separate mobile app per family member.
Works even when Wi‑Fi drops. Changes sync later.
Runs locally in your network—access via browser, without mandatory cloud.
A typical flow—without tech confusion.
Power the HomeBox and connect it to your home network.
Open homebox.local in the browser or scan the device QR code. The wall board runs as the shared household overview.
Members open the separate mobile PWA on the phone: last data remains visible, shopping actions are queued and synced on the next home-network connection.
We’ll show the wall board and the member mobile PWA together and explain how the box is used in your home network.
